During a Gibsons home inspection of a modular home, we came across this noteworthy feature.
What was it?
It was the seller’s house binder, filled with instructions, operating manuals, receipts and warranty documents for the home. From appliances to heating systems to smoke alarms, they were all there. This is so rare and special that I decided to acknowledge this extra feature. Most appreciated! In our case we used it immediately to read how to operate the electronic thermostat. The seller had gone to the effort of adding labelled tabs for the different sections in the binder. Certainly a gold standard of home ownership.
As an aside, the rest of the house had the seller’s same personality stamp with a lot of attention to detail in terms of cleanliness and organization. It was a pleasure to inspect.
